Dinostars!

The 2nd and 3rd grade spring concert was a success!  Twelve students from Mr. Lund's class showed up.  Here are a few of them.

Spring Science...Plants!

Mr. Lund's class planted their Brassica (aka "Wisconsin Fast Plants") plants Friday.  They will closely watch these plants until June.  "I love doing this!" said Jose Bracamontes.

After reading about lion's manes, Mr. Lund told the class he has a cat with a mane like a lion.  Here is Charlie!

Superstar Student

My name is Fabian and I am a Superstar Student because I clean the yard, I help my parents, and I help my brother with his words.  My favorite subject in school is Specialist.  My favorite food is chicken nuggets.  My favorite thing to do is play football.  The names of the people in my family are Jose Luis, Nadia, Dulce, Fabian Sr., and me.  We are from Mexico and we like to go to Chuck E. Cheese.  I am a Superstar Student!

Crazy Hat/Sports Day

As part of our "Dr. Seuss" week, Wednesday was crazy hat and sports day.  Students wore all kinds of outfits in Mr. Lund's class.  "I wish I could wear this hat every day!" said Zeke.

Mineral Testing

As part of our "Rocks and Minerals" Science Unit, we have been testing 11 different minerals to see if the clues help us figure out what they are.  Today was the light test, to see if the minerals are transparent (clear), translucent (cloudy), or opaque (can't see through).  "Testing minerals is fun!" said Baruch.

Superstar Student

My name is Karizma Fuentes and I am a Superstar Student because I'm nice to people, I pay attention to people, and I don't talk when others are talking.  My favorite subject in school is P.E.  My favorite food is hamburgers.  My favorite thing to do is play outside.  The names of the people in my family are Larissa, Raquel, Coky, Me, and my dog Chico.  We are from Sunnyside and we like to play wii, sports, and walk the dog.  I am a Superstar Student!
