Readers' Theater Fun!

Martin Luther King, Jr.

We have a new read aloud book!  It's a Biography of Martin Luther King, Jr.  The students all know a bit about the important leader, but we're going to learn a lot more.  In order to help us understand the times in which he grew up, students looked at some pictures that showed the segregation in the south back in the 1940s, 50s, and 60s.  "That's not fair!" said Juan Vera.

Superstar Student

My name is Julianna and I am a Superstar Student because I like music videos, Ever After High, and the Bratzillaz.  My favorite subject in school is recess.  My favorite food is macaroni and cheese.  My favorite thing to do is hang out with my mom and dad.  The names of the people in my family are Ellie, Maria, Leo, Caila, and Cara.  We are from Sunnyside and we like to play in my house. I am a Superstar Student!
